Reported hazard of a sunken boat south of Triumph and Buras Drainage Canal in Bayou Grand Laird. The sunken boat is not visible above water. The coordinates to this wreck are: Degrees: N 29.31875° * W 089.48112° Degrees / Minutes: N 29° 19.125' * W 89° 28.867' Degress / Minutes / Seconds: N 29° 19' 07.5" * W 089° 28' 52.0" To create a new waypoint on your GPS by changing the coordinates. Lowrance / Simrad: Press the Flag or Enter button (depending on model of GPS). Click the area where you see the coordinate (or move cursor and press enter on coordinate). Change the coordinate numbers to the above coordinate numbers and select OK. Name the waypoint for future refrence, ie. Sunken Boat or Hazard. You can also change the symbol to something that will stand out, ie. Skull and Cross Bones. Garmin: Hit the Mark Button at the bottom screen Menu. Select "Edit Waypoint". Select "Position". Select "Enter Coordinates". Change the coordinate numbers to the above coordinate numbers and select "Done". Name the waypoint for future refrence, ie. Sunken Boat or Hazard. You can also change the symbol to something that will stand out, ie. Skull. To download this hazard, DOWNLOAD HAZARD IN GPX FORMAT DOWNLOAD HAZARD IN USR FORMAT Simply select the file format you wish to download, by selecting the "Download File". Select the grey "Download this File" option. Enter the characters to start the download and select "Download Now". Select a location on your computer or save the file directly the E-Card. You must have the E-Card in your computer in order to download to the E-Card. Recommended that you create a folder on your desktop and save them into the folder. If saved to folder, you copy and paste the file onto the E-Card. Once saved, insert the E-Card into the GPS and import the file to save the waypoint to your GPS. To import the file to the GPS: Lowrance / Simrad: ***Newer Model GPS Units*** Press the PAGES button and on the left Menu bar select the Files tab or the Storage tab. Select the Memory Card (E-Card). Select the "HAZARD GPX" or "HAZARD USR" file in the Memory Card tab. By selecting, this will prompt you by asking if you want Import. Select the Import option. Select Close when finished and return to the chart screen.
