Standard Mapping, the premier, Louisiana based, fishing and hunting map publisher announced today a new format for its popular aerial photo maps. The Fast Fold versions are exact replicas of Standards popular waterproof, laminated roll-up maps containing all of the same waterbody designations, landmarks and GPS coordinates with one major exception. The Fast Fold maps are full size 22x34 inch maps that fold neatly into 8 1/2 x 11 inch Standard paper size.
This is something our customers and retailers have asked for. This new format will make reading the maps much easier while the boat is underway or in windy conditions. It will also make storage easier and as a result increase the life of the maps. By having separate folding sections, it will be easier for sportsmen to pinpoint the area they are traveling, said owner of Standard Mapping, Glenn Schurr.
We already have our most popular maps available in the new Fast Fold format and will eventually offer sportsmen the complete line in this new configuration. We are not discontinuing the maps that maps that have been so popular over the last 18 years. Well continue to have those available for anyone who prefers them. We know that many of these maps are posted on walls at camps, marinas and offices, and often are matted and framed.
