Elite DSI is not compatible, if
you are not sure what Elite GPS Model you have look at the power cable.
Elite DSI will have a BLACK connector on the
power cable.

If your GPS was not listed above in black then
your GPS is not compatible with this mapping software.

INSTRUCTIONS:
This is a plug and play chip, meaning
if the chip is not in the unit the mapping software will not work.
Since the software on the GPS
platform is continuously updated, here are a few how to on the E-Card:
How do I load the
Classic E-Card into my GPS?
FOR
LOWRANCE TOUCHSCREEN GPS USERS:
1. Insert the Micro SD or Micro SD
inserted in full size SD adapter into GPS card reader, you do not want to force
the card into the GPS, flip the card around till the card easily makes contact
with the reader.
2. Once inserted, wait 5-10 seconds
for GPS to read E-Card, you will see loading charts at the bottom. If it does
not say loading charts at the bottom, the GPS is not reading your SD card,
where you will want to check the connection of the SD card and the GPS.
3. First, zoom all the way out on
your GPS to about 500 – 300 miles, where we created a welcome screen to make
sure our customers know they are looking at our mapping system on the GPS.
4. Normally on a brand new GPS you
will have to set up a few settings in load the mapping software, once these
settings are turned on you will not have to set them again. On the right side
of the touch screen you will see a MENU tab with settings.
You want to first go into the CHART OPTIONS tab, which if you do not see press
the BACK button at the top of the MENU till you get where the top tab say
Return to Cursor or Clear Cursor.
5. Once in CHART OPTIONS, you will
see a CHART SOURCE tab, make sure you are set to Lowrance.
6. Back in our CHART OPTIONS tab,
you will also see a PRESENTATION tab, where you are going to go in and turn the
SHADED RELIEF setting on (the colored triangle to the right indicates on).
7. Once you turn your SHADED RELIEF
setting on, you should see our mapping software replace the GPS screen.
FOR LOWRANCE NON TOUCH BUTTON
HDS GPS USERS:
1. Insert the Micro SD inserted in
full size SD adapter into GPS card reader, you do not want to force the card
into the GPS, flip the card around till the card easily makes contact with the
reader.
2. Once inserted, wait 10-15
seconds for GPS to read E-Card, you will see loading charts at the bottom. If
is does not say loading charts at the bottom, the GPS is not reading your SD
card, where you will want to check the connection of the SD card and the GPS.
Pop the chip out of the GPS and replace the E-Card.
3. First, zoom all the way out on
your GPS to about 500 – 300 miles, where we created a welcome screen to make
sure our customers know they are looking at our mapping system on the GPS.
4. Normally on a brand new GPS you
will have to set up a few settings in load the mapping software, once these
settings are turned on you will not have to set them again. On the GPS keypad
you will want to press the MENU button, depending on the software version of
the GPS you will need to press this once or twice. Words here on in
(parenthesis) are other terms different software versions use.
5. First, you are looking for the
CHART SOURCE (CHART DATA) and making sure it is set to Lowrance. Normally, you
will see this setting after the first time pressing the MENU button, however,
you may have to press the MENU button an additional time. Press ENTER on the
CHART tab, you should see the setting for CHART SOURCE (CHART DATA), if not
sometimes there is an additional tab labeled CHART OPTIONS under the same CHART
tab.
6. Now that you are in the CHART
OPTIONS tab changing the CHART SOURCE, you are going to look for another
setting labeled IMAGERY, and set to SHADED RELIEF. Some software versions also
have this setting on the first time pressing the MENU button.
7. Once you turn your SHADED RELIEF
setting on, you should see our mapping software replace the GPS screen.
FOR LOWRANCE HOOK, ELITE HDI /
CHIRP GPS USERS:
1. Insert the Micro SD into GPS
card reader, you do not want to force the card into the GPS, flip the card
around till the card easily makes contact with the reader.
2. Once inserted, wait 10-20
seconds for GPS to read E-Card, you will see loading charts at the bottom. If
is does not say loading charts at the bottom, the GPS is not reading your SD
card, where you will want to check the connection of the SD card and the GPS.
Pop the chip out of the GPS and replace the E-Card.
3. First, zoom all the way out on
your GPS to about 500 – 300 miles, where we created a welcome screen to make
sure our customers know they are looking at our mapping system on the GPS.
4. Normally on a brand new GPS you
will have to set up a few settings in load the mapping software, once these
settings are turned on you will not have to set them again. On the GPS keypad
you will want to press the MENU button, depending on the software version of
the GPS you will need to press this once or twice.
5. First, you are looking for the

and set to SHADED RELIEF. Some software versions also have this setting on the
first time pressing the MENU button.
*HOOK Unit Users – HOOK Units software will default the
IMAGERY setting to 2D, which forces the user to change the setting every time
the E-Card is removed or the unit is restarted.
7. Once you turn your SHADED RELIEF
setting on, you should see our mapping software replace the GPS screen.
FOR
SIMRAD TOUCHSCREEN GPS USERS:
1. Insert the Micro SD into the GPS
card reader, you do not want to force the card into the GPS, flip the card
around till the card easily makes contact with the reader.
2. Once inserted, wait 5-10 seconds
for GPS to read E-Card, you will see a loading spinning wheel at the top left
corner of the screen. If it does not have a loading wheel, the GPS is not
reading your SD card, where you will want to check the connection of the SD
card and the GPS.
3. First, zoom all the way out on
your GPS to about 500 – 300 miles, where we created a welcome screen to make
sure our customers know they are looking at our mapping system on the GPS.
4. Normally on a brand new GPS you
will have to set up a few settings in load the mapping software, once these
settings are turned on you will not have to set them again. On the right side
of the touch screen you will see a MENU tab with settings.
You want to first go into the CHART OPTIONS tab, which if you do not see press
the BACK button at the top of the MENU till you get where the top tab will no longer
say BACK.
5. Once in CHART OPTIONS, you will
see a CHART SOURCE (CHART DATA) tab, make sure you are set to Insight.
6. Back in our CHART OPTIONS tab, depending
on the software version your GPS is running you, will also see a PRESENTATION
tab. Some software versions have a tab under CHART OPTIONS labeled IMAGERY,
here you are going to go in and turn the SHADED RELIEF setting on (some
software have a colored triangle to the right which indicates on).
7. Once you turn your SHADED RELIEF
setting on, you should see our mapping software replace the GPS screen.
FOR
RAYMARINE TOUCHSCREEN MFD GPS USERS:
1. Insert the Micro SD into the GPS
card reader, you do not want to force the card into the GPS, flip the card
around till the card easily makes contact with the reader.
2. Once inserted, you will see the
screen flash white indicating that the GPS has recognized the SD card.
3. First, zoom all the way out on
your GPS to about 500 – 300 miles, where we created a welcome screen to make
sure our customers know they are looking at our mapping system on the GPS,
after you select the chart you will return back to the chart screen.
4. Normally on a brand new GPS you
will have to set up a few settings in load the mapping software, once these
settings are turned on you will not have to set them again. On the right side
of the touch screen you will see a MENU tab with a drop down menu.
You want to first go into the PRESENTATION tab.
5. Once in PRESENTATION, you will
see a CHART SELECTION tab.
6. The CHART SELECTION tab will
open a new window, showing the different mapping software on the GPS. We
normally popup in the very last tab replacing the LightHouse Charts tab.
Sometimes you will have to select the LightHouse Charts and repeat this step
and will see the STANDARD MAPPING logo and E-Card Description.
7. If map still does not want to
load, make sure the connection is good between the SD card and the card reader.
Remove the chip and reinsert the E-Card into the GPS. You should see the E-Card
in your CHART SELECTION now.
FOR RAYMARINE BUTTON MFD, DRAGON
FLY & PRO GPS USERS:
1. Insert the Micro SD into the GPS
card reader, you do not want to force the card into the GPS, flip the card
around till the card easily makes contact with the reader.
2. Once inserted, you will see the
screen flash white indicating that the GPS has recognized the SD card.
3. First, zoom all the way out on
your GPS to about 500 – 300 miles, where we created a welcome screen to make
sure our customers know they are looking at our mapping system on the GPS,
after you select the chart you will return back to the chart screen.
4. Normally on a brand new GPS you
will have to set up a few settings in load the mapping software, once these
settings are turned on you will not have to set them again. First, make sure
the cursor is not on the screen by pressing the back arrow. Press the center
toggle button in or press the OK button. The button MFD should have a MENU
button on the key pad (looks like three lines).
You want to first go into the PRESENTATION tab.
5. Once in PRESENTATION, you will
see a CHART SELECTION tab.
6. The CHART SELECTION tab will
open a new window, showing the different mapping software on the GPS. We
normally popup in the very last tab replacing the LightHouse Charts tab.
Sometimes you will have to select the LightHouse Charts and repeat this step
and will see the STANDARD MAPPING logo and E-Card Description.
7. If map still does not want to
load, make sure the connection is good between the SD card and the card reader.
Remove the chip and reinsert the E-Card into the GPS. You should see the E-Card
in your CHART SELECTION now.
